Hello everyone! Today I'm posting a couple of cards that I've made for Lance to give to a couple of his sempai. Lance earned all Red Stripes during his purple belt/black stripe period, so he was offered a private lesson for all of his hard work. He's so excited to be in his brown belt/white stripe, and realizes he will have to work even harder. I think he's ready. ☺

Snowman and Rain

Hello everyone! It's been a little while, and tho I have not been stamping a lot...I have made a few things. I have not been very good about coming here and posting my creations, so I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things by posting a couple of cards I've made over the past couple of weeks.

First up is a Stick Chick Girl with Snowman. I think she is really cute, and she has more snow than I've seen around here in a while. I'm not complaining at all, but it hasn't felt much like winter.

I was thinking a bit "out of the box" when I made this next design. I don't have any rain papers or background stamps, so I decided to use this Bead Curtain Coveralls stamp to give the look of rain. Stamping with VersaMark Dazzle really made it look even more like rain, and I tried to get a photo of the sparkle in my second image. The sentiment is Two Lovers, and the little umbrella is an EK Success sticker.

Kids' Ornaments

Hello everyone! Today I am showing some ornaments the kids made for their grandparents. They requested some for their little table-top tree, and this is what the kids made. I think they did a good job, don't you?

Zach made a deer clip out of a clothespin with some paint and googlie eyes. Lance made the shrink ornaments using some Lizzie Anne Designs Images (found at Gourmet Rubber Stamps).

Brooke made these with her peg board beads.

Hello everyone! I've been busy baking the last couple of days, so I haven't been on here much. I did come across a card that I haven't posted yet, so I thought I would share it. It's a simple one-layer design with some pretty images from the Stamper's Anonymous Tim Holt line. The sentiment is PTI. I've used my long lost (not really) Dazzle Frost VersaMark to stamp the snowflakes all over the front and back of the card...and it looks really pretty. I also couldn't resist adding a pearl to the nose of the deer, even though this is essentially a more elegant style card.

Hello everyone! We are really on the Christmas countdown now, aren't we? I have much to do yet, and I don't know how soon I'll be able to post again before Christmas. Today I've decided to show you a few of the last minute cards I made (mass-production style), so that I could finish my cards and get them out. Peace on Earth

Hello stamping friends. I have created a card using my Stick Chicks Girl Angel with Trumpet, and sentiment from Holiday Script. The papers are Jolly by Golly. I've also used some of my Spellbinders dies to cut the different shapes. The Reverse Wonky Rectangles do not have as sizes so closely together, so I used my Layer Ease for the matting on that shape. The colors are a bit off, and I'm wondering if any of you have any tips for getting the correct color shades in photographs (or what needs adjusting in my editing software). Any help will be appreciated. ;)

Shimmer Trees

Hello, friends! We've had a week of all kinds of sickies in our house...from cold/cough to stomach flu, to pink eye. I even ended up taking Lance to the ER for anti-nausea medication and an IV so that he could hydrate and clear the keytones out of his system (scary). I'm hoping we're through with being sick for a while, and that we'll have a healthy Christmastime. Whew!!

Today I'm posting a card I made about a week ago, and never posted. This card uses the pine tree image from Reindeer Flight (Stamper's Anonymous-Tim Holtz Collection), and sentiment from Christmas in the Air (Verve). The trees are stamped in Craft inks (Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip), and the sentiment is stamped in dye ink (Crumb Cake). The snow is white card stock, that I have torn. The corners were rounded with my Corner Chomper, then I added some shimmer with my Ice Rink Smooch Spritz. For a final touch, I've tied a piece of bakers twine into a tiny bow. Finished.

Hello everyone! I hope you're all surviving Black Friday. I'm more of a Cyber Monday girl...so I have not tackled the crowds. I hope those that have braved it out there got some good deals, tho! ☺

I've used a couple of stamps from Let's Celebrate to create this card. The flutes were stamped twice with silver ink (omitting the liquid lines and drawing them in with my Spica Glitter pen). I've edged the border of my card with a silver paint marker, and added a silver cord to finish it off.

Ice is Melting

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Today I have a card that is a bit more summery, so I'm thinking you folks from down under and south of the border may appreciate it a bit more than us northerners who are just getting into the wintry weather.

I've used my Ice is Melting stamp from Murray's Law to make this circular card. The patterned paper is Cupcake (BasicGrey), and the image is colored with my Copic markers. I've added a little glaze to the ice, lips, and fingernail with my Sakura Glaze pen, and a little sparkle to the frames of the sunglasses with my Spica Glitter pen. Cheers!

Leaves of a Tree

Hello everyone! Today I have a card that I made a little while back, and haven't posted yet. I thought I'd better get it up here, before the season has passed us by. (Many of our tress are bare, and it's getting quite chilly here these days).

This is a single stamp from SU called Leaves of a Tree. I've colored the leaves with various SU markers before huffing and stamping the image onto my white card stock. The main image was cut with Spellbinders dies, and the pretty eyelet edging was punched with my SU border punch. I've also embossed the Summer Sun with my Stripes embossing folder (SU).

The Big Decision

Hello everyone! Today I'm featuring an image from another stamp line available at Gourmet Rubber Stamps. This image is called Halloween Witches, and they are from the Murray's Law line. There is quite a variety of images that will probably give you a chuckle or two...so check them out when you get a chance.

For this card I used my black detail embossing power to emboss the image. Next, I colored it in with my Copic markers. The background looked a little too bright, so I spritzed some black with my Color Spritzer. The dies used are #15 Label Nestabilities. The patterned paper and ribbon is from SU, and the Vibrant Violet card stock is from Gina K. Designs.

Hello everyone! Today I'm back with another card using the Tart and Spice Diners Club Stamp set. I LOVE owls, so this little guy is definitely one of my favorite images in the set. I used SU punches to create the branch (Bird Builder Punch), moon (2 ½" Circle Punch), and banner (Square Punch). I used my Retro Diamonds embossing folder (Quickutz) to add texture to the kraft card stock, and my Loop Edge Punch (Martha Stewart) for the bottom edge.

I'm back with a cutie card for my son. I made him another karate card a while back (you can see here), and he has promoted quite a few belts since. These images come from a recent addition to the MFT Pure Innocence Collection, and is aptly named...Karate Boy (I also couldn't resist the adorable Karate Girl). Lance is wearing a blue uniform now, so that is the color scheme here. I've pieced the blue uniform with Brilliant Blue card stock, and used my Fleur de Lis Square Nestabilities for the frame. The ribbon is silk, and from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I think he will like this! ☺

Hello everyone...and Happy Labor Day! Like many of you, I had to purchase the new Harvest Berries set from PaperTrey Ink. I wanted to use some neutral colors, but I wanted this card to be special. I decided to emboss all of the images, and leave it rather CAS (no surprises on that one, huh?). I was originally thinking it could be for a guy or girl...but now I'm thinking it's a little more on the feminine side. What do you think?

Spidery Fright Night

I'm thinking spooky once again...but this time it's all about spiders. Eek!! I bought this cool blingy web last year, and I'm glad I was finally able to use it. I thought I would pair the bling up with my Frightful Sight DP (SU), and the Fright Night Single (LAD). I added the little spider brads (one to the bling web, and one down below with an added row of extra bling). The Sentiment was stamped on a strip of Pumpkin Pie paper, distressed, and adhered to the base. The stamped webby border was created by my Martha Stewart punch.

Spooktacular

Hi everyone! My kids have already been talking about Halloween, and what they would like to dress up as for Trick-or Treating. Of course, the catalogs that have been arriving in the mail doesn't have anything to do with it either. ;) Anyhow, I was in the mood to create a Halloween card with my Hallow's Eve set (Lizzie Anne Designs). The patterned paper is Frightful Sight (SU) and is adhered to the chipboard piece (Want 2 Scrap) with some Tombo glue. I've used my Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders) for the sentiment tag, and the ribbon is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store (I've colored the ribbon with my Copic markers to match the Olive card stock). I've added a little bling (Want 2 Scrap), and adhered to my Cajun Craze card base with Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal). The moon and bat were stamped on the Cajun Craze as well, trimmed out, and adhered to my image panel.

I have another birthday card (no surprise). This one uses some new goodies from SU, and more swirly pearl bling. I'm using my Domestic Goddess papers for this card, and the cute image is from Happiest Birthday Wishes. The image was colored with my markers to match the pretty papers. I've used my Designer Frames embossing folder for the main image, and added the Finesse Swirls pearls to accent. The ribbon is the new 3/8 " Ruffled Ribbon from SU.

I have a quick card using pretty papers, fancy tags, and beautiful bling. The patterned paper is Timeless Portrait (SU), and the Fancy Tag is Nestaboard covered with card stock and Nestabling (Want 2 Scrap). I love the style of the Well Scripted stamp set (SU) and I used the birthday greeting. I wanted to pop a little green in there because I love the color combination, and my widest green ribbon was this striped grosgrain (SU). Not sure I like it, but it's all stuck now...and I'm not removing it. ;)

Hello everyone! I have a card with lots of texture (Square Lattice embossing folder/SU) and pretty bling (Want 2 Scrap). The images are from my Watercolor Trio stamp set (SU), as well as the card stock and patterned papers. I've made the cute little flowers with my Itty Bitty Shapes Punch (SU), and added some bling for the centers. The oval shapes are actually chipboard that I've covered with paper. The black strip along the bottom of the patterned paper was punched with my Double Loop Edge punch from Martha Stewart. I have lots of birthdays coming up, so you'll probably be seeing many birthday cards...as I 'knock them out' one-by-one *wink*.

Hello everyone! Today I have another card that qualifies for my DTGD Challenge over at SCS. I'm using my a muse|studio goodies here. The images are from friend to friend, and the card stock is lime and orange. I've stamped the images with Tuxedo Black ink (stamping an extra flower), and extending the stems with my black marker. The blooms were stamped on orange, trimmed out, and sponged along the edges with my Riding Hood Red ink (SU). I glued them onto the base with Tombo Mono Multi Glue, and "chomped" the bottom corners with my Corner Chompers. The ribbon is 5/8" orange satin (AMS), and a gift from my sweet friend..Beth. Very CAS, but I like it. ☺

That's right...everything has been marked down even more since the original announcement of Lizzie Anne Designs closing. Summertime Vacation Challenge

Today the Design Team has been challenged to make a card or project that reflects something we'll be doing this summer. Well, right now we are visiting Mickey and friends, but we are hoping to hit one of the beaches on our way out. We have a specific one in mind, but I'll have to wait and see if that's the one we end up visiting or not. Anyhow, we may see some sea creatures, so I thought I would use this sea turtle for my first card. The turtle is from the new Summer Mix that will begin to ship on July 1st.

June Singles

I can't believe June has arrived...can you? A new month means new Simply Singles from Lizzie Anne Designs. I have two cards to show today, using those stamps.

The first card is using Surfer Dude. I've cut my patterned paper for the sand (following the pattern), and the waves are punched with my Fiskars Boundary Waters border punch. The sun is cut with a Die-namics die, and the sentiment is from Life is Good Mix Set.

Here's my second card, and this one used Hula Girl. I've stamped and colored her with Copic Markers, then die cut the main image shapes with Spellbinders dies. The little tag is cut from my Notched Tag Die-namics. The background is embossed with Elegant Lines Embossing Folder...then sanded, and the ribbon is A muse. The tree foliage and sentiment are from the Little Bits set, Garden Isle.

Beautiful Botanicals

I've pulled out my new a muse|studio Beautiful Botanicals to create this card (sentiment from Wild Rose). It's not secret that I love single-layer cards, and silhouettes are a favorite as well. I also love this papaya colored card stock (AMS). I've stamped the images with Onyx Black VersaFine, punched the corner with my Corner Chomper, added a strip of Onyx stitched ribbon (AMS), and finally... some tiny pearls (SU).

Cutting Denim

Hello everyone! Today I'm showing you a card I've made using some scraps of denim I've had in my sewing box. The sentiment compares "A Good Friend" to your favorite pair of jeans, so that is where my inspiration to use denim came from. I have die cut the Lattice shape with my SU Bigz die, and the flower is using the Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics. The #3 Labels die from Spellbinders was used for the sentiment, and the textured background is the Square Lattice embossing folder from SU. The denim fabric was a bit tricky to cut, and I had to use my scissors to snip little threads along the way...but all-in-all, it wasn't too difficult.

We were busy celebrating my oldest child's 13th birthday yesterday, and this is the card I made him. He likes blue, so I've used Ocean Card Stock (A Muse|Studio). The Latte Woodgrain paper is also from A Muse. The frame was made to (kind of) represent a stage, and I've added stars all around for some sparkle. The fun images are all from Live Life Loud (Gina K. Designs).

I will be working at the school library today and tomorrow, so I don't know when I'll be back to my regular hopping. Hopefully soon, 'cause I've been seeing some amazing creations on my Reader!

Pretty Pastels

Hi everyone! It's been a little while, but I'm back with some pretty cards using Follow Your Dreams Mix Set. I've used some of my new papers from A Muse|Studio's Spring Card Stock collection for both, and kept them quite CAS.

The MFT Die-namic kind of reminded me of a nest, so I thought I would use it for my card. I spritzed a little Chocolate ink onto my card base with my SU Color Spritzer, and added a little A Muse|Studio ribbon as well.

This next card has some texture which I've added using my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. I have also lightly sanded the dots to reveal the white core of the paper. Very subtle, and pretty. The baby shoes were embossed on vellum with white detail embossing powder, trimmed, and adhered with vellum Glue Dots. I've used my Bow Easy for the taffeta bow.

Sue's Challenge

My dear friend, Sue, issued a challenge found here. We were to use only basic stamping supplies, no ribbon, buttons, or designer papers. I didn't use Stickles, bling, or floss...but I hope this still qualifies. The images are from Best Bunnies (Clear & Simple Stamps). The card base was embossed using my Fiskars Cutter. The yellow strip of paper was stamped with the little bunny images from the set, and the big bunny was stamped on tan paper, trimmed, and glued onto the white piece. I stamped the sentiment, then trimmed out the banner shape with my scissors. The image and sentiment banner are mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals.

An Easter Challenge

The Lizzie Anne Designs Team Challenge for today, is creating Easter Cards.

My card is a Stair Step Fold Card (tutorial by Beate here), and uses the eggs from Follow Your Dreams, and the sentiment is Easter Blessings Simply Singles. I used Kraft card stock for the base, then covered it all up with Urban Prairie papers. The grass was punched with my Martha Stewart punch, and the sentiment is stamped on Nestabilities die cuts. This reminds me of the egg hunts I used to go to when I was a kid, but the eggs are much prettier. *wink*

Yesterday I mentioned about something keeping me busy. The something I was referring to is that Lance has started his insulin pump therapy. Everything is all new right now, so sugars are still being "tweaked". I have to check Lance approximately every 3 hours...even through the night. (Lack of sleep = not much desire to stamp). I'm sure next week will be easier. It is all worth it, though, as Lance is loving it so far!

Hi everyone! My son celebrated his 10th birthday on Sunday, so I wanted to use my Tweens & Teens set. He likes skateboarding, so I chose the skateboarding images, and created this:

I love the sentiment, but later thought I should bring attention to the fact that he is now a big 10-year-old, so I die cut the numbers with my PTI dies, and layered over the sentiment. He loved this card, by the way...so I was happy about that.

I love the birdcage image, and decided to shorten the sentiment a little so that it would fit my card design better. I've distressed many of the edges with Antique Linen ink, but it's kind of difficult to see in the picture. I love the aged look it gives.

Marionette

Good morning, and welcome to another new week. It's hard to believe February is almost behind us, and soon we will be welcoming spring. I can hardly wait, but then it's a big birthday time of the year for us as well, so it will be busy.

Okay...enough of that already. I have a new card to show you using the marionette image from my Bonjour stamp set. I love this pretty and unique image, and I had fun adding texture and some new embellishments. The ribbon and flower are new from SU, as well as the embossing folder. The Notebook Edge is a Die-namics die. I didn't get a good shot of the sentiment, because it's tucked in with the ribbon using a jump ring (difficult to get a good angle for a photo). Oh well...I think you get the idea. *wink*

A Sketch and Some Sunshine

The first card is one that I have created using last week's LAD Sketch 162. The striped background is stamped with one of the Timeless Textures images, and the sentiment is from Everyday Sayings.

The kids are happy to have a long weekend, and I'm glad to be cozy in my home during this snowy weather we're having. We had some warm weather last week, and I was excited when most all of our snow melted. But...now it's is looking pretty wintry around here once again. Oh well...that is to be expected, since it is only February.

I was able to make a couple of cards with some of my new stamps, and that always makes me feel happier. ☺

My first card is using a Lizzie Anne Designs Sketch from last month (thanks Kendra), and I really like the simplicity of it! I love that pretty lace image from the new Timeless Textures Sixlets set. It's very realistic-looking, and great to know I can now have lace in every shade of ink that I own *wink*.

I played around with the sentiment by only inking up the "Rock" part of the "You Rock", then I inked only the "O", then inked up the "U" and stamped upside-down for the "N". I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to help with placement.

February LAD DT Challenge

Hello everyone! I'm crawling out from my cave to participate in the February Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge. (I wish I could have come out of "hiding" earlier, but things have been really hectic here lately!)

This month we were challenged to choose a card from The Sketchbook designed by another DT member other than ourselves, and design a new card based on their design.

For my first card, I chose this lovely card designed by Tricia. I veered off quite a bit from her design, but it was definitely the inspiration I used to create this. The stamps I've used come from the new Wonderful World Sixlets set. The flower and leaf are paper-pieced, and the grass was created with my Martha Stewart scissors. (Other details are listed below the photo.)

The first card uses Funky Happy Birthday Simply Singles, and Nook & Pantry BasicGrey papers. The Beaded Circle Nestabilities helped me to create my card base.

LAD Sneak Peek Day 2

It's day 2 of the Lizzie Anne Designs sneak peeks, so let's get right to them. ;)

First up I have a sample that I've made using the Dare to be Fabulous Sixlets set. The red is Cherry Cobbler (SU), and the embossing is done using my Vintage Wallpaper Cuttlebug folder. The layout is one I've borrowed from the SU catty, but I can't remember the page (sorry).

The patterned paper is from Nook & Pantry (BasicGrey), and the border was punched with my Arrow Border Punch (same as SU's Pinking Heart--I think).

LAD Sneak Peek Day 1

Well... today is the day for the Lizzie Anne Designs sneak peeks of the new stamp sets to begin!! I'm so excited to show you some of the images in the new sets, and I'll begin with this image from the Bonjour Little Bits set. Though my card is not a traditional size, this image is quite large ( approximately 1.75" x 3.25"-the largest in the set). There are 8 other wonderful images in this set as well.

I've used lots of foam tape to lift the whole panel up from the sentiment window. The flower is from Prima, and I've made the leaves using my Herringbone Cuttlebug embossing folder for texture.

Hi everyone! I'm back again with that fun card I promised in yesterday's post. I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of popcorn! I don't need to be watching a movie to enjoy it, and my daughter has grown as fond of it as I am. ;)

These images are from the Lucky In Love Winter Mix 2011 set, and I've enjoyed arranging all of those popcorn kernels all over my card. I used a combination of glue dots, and foam dots to give a variety of dimension.

Hi everyone! It's been a week since I've posted, and it's an exciting time to be back! Valentine's Day is coming, so I pulled my Vintage Valentine set to create this design. Cupid is embossed with white embossing powder, and I've sponged some color into the heart with my dauber. The patterned paper is Bittersweet from BasicGrey.

It's time for the monthly Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge. Today the team was challenged to design a project based on a New Years resolution. Well...I have to admit that I don't make them. Rather, my card is based on the goal I've had (since starting our family) that I would like to get my over abundance of "stuff" organized, recycled, sold, donated, or just plain pitched. So...the 'sweet home' concept is my theme. ☺

Hello everyone! I've made a fun card with some yummy-looking fortune cookies from the Lucky In Love Winter Mix 2011 set. This card is interactive, as you can see by scrolling down a bit. I thought it would be fun to make the sentiment as the stamped message, so I inked and stamped the heart part of the message, and drew in the rest of the paper. The message part is a sentiment in the set as well. The plate is created using my Mega Oval Spellbinder dies, and the edge is refined using my Gold Leafing pen. The patterned papers are from the Bittersweet BasicGrey pack.

Faith Lanterns

I hope your Monday is off to a good start! Today I have a card to show you that I made using images from the Lizzie Anne Design Winter Mix 2011, Lucky In Love. My little paper lanterns are stamped on vellum, colored and trimmed, then adhered to the stamped image panel with vellum Glue Dots (difficult to see in the photo that they are vellum). I used some tiny Pearl Jewels for the tassels, and made my frame using the Labels 17 Spellbinders Nestabilites. The patterned paper is Porcelain from BasicGrey, and the pretty gem is from Prima.

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm showing you a card using LAD's weekly sketch 157 (by Joslyn). The images I've used are all from Lucky In Love, the Winter Mix 2011. I've stamped the biplane, colored with Copic Markers, trimmed out, and mounted to my sky. The clouds were inked with white, and Rock-n-Rolled on the bottoms to resemble real clouds. The sentiment was inked one line at a time (so that I could follow the sketch more accurately), and made into a banner. I punched the ends with a square punch, and made the banner wavy with Dimensionals.

New Singles

Happy New Year!! I'm starting the year off, posting some samples made with the newly released Lizzie Anne Designs Simply Singles.

My first sample uses Love You a Latte. I've made a little 3 x 6 card using some random patterned papers from an unknown collection (gift with purchase from Eclectic Paperie). I've pieced my cup and saucer with Blushing Bride, and pieced the latte fluid with Copic-colored white paper and some Liquid Appliqué. This time I've puffed the Appliqué with my heat tool, and it looks yummy! Isn't that little heart-shaped foam just darling?
